Ben’s background
Tom enrolled onto his course supported by Path to Prosper in early 2025. He and his family live in the parish of Bufutsa in Bududa, in a 5 room home housing 4 adults and 9 children.
Through passing his schooling successfully he was always noted as a bright and happy student. However since his father fell ill and unable to work, the education for all the children was cut short.
Due to illness in the family he sees the importance of proper medical skills and is undertaking a diploma course studying nursing at Mount Elgon. His aims are to open his own practice within Bududa and improve the lives of his community.
We are incredibly proud to support Ben through his nursing diploma and we will update this page with more photos / stories as he progresses.
